June 14, 2006 -- Emerlyn Technology announces the release of OneScan®, a hand held barcode scanner that simplifies ordering with the use of one scanner. OneScan has been designed to compliment the functions of SureCost, a global pharmacy e-procurement system that helps pharmacies reduce their cost of goods by maximizing their vendor agreements and contracts in a real time environment.
In the past, pharmacies used scanners that were provided by their vendors and could only recognize that vendor's specific product. OneScan® allows transparency in ordering products from any source. The scanned information from OneScan® is then transferred to SureCost where the products are selected and procured.
